The carnation has an uncommon grace and a fragrance which cannot fail to be noticed: walking along country paths, it is easy to recognise its gentle fragrance, which pervades the air. Considered as the flower of the gods - from its botanical name Dianthus, which is a combination of two Greek words, Dios and Anthos (flower) - the Carnation loves to seduce and surprise.
